Mission

Safar Global Foundation (SGF) is a non-profit organization created to change the lives of girls globally by providing them access to quality education.

The foundation’s mission is to work with a select number of partners & stakeholders in providing girls with knowledge, resources, and the skills they need to access meaningful education.

Safar Global Foundation is dedicated to educating underprivileged girls in developing countries by providing them with scholarships and other academic-related resources needed for successful and impactful lives.

Supporting girls to learn, thrive, and change the world.

As the research shows that education is transformational, not only for girls who complete school, but also for their families, communities, and nations. The positive ripple effects are especially beneficial to developing countries.

Educated girls grow into adults who have healthier, wealthier families. Educated girls grow into women who participate in civic life and take on leadership roles in their communities.

Vision

Safar Global Foundation's vision is to transform the lives of girls in under-served communities around the world. Education and training will enable these young women to get jobs, earn income, care for their families, participate in their communities and local economies, and ultimately change the world.

Providing education to underprivileged girls in developing countries is one of the most important methods to bring them and their families out of poverty.

Safar Global Foundation's vision is to elevate education and learning as the foundation of all aspects of human development and world progress.

  • Educated women are 50% more likely to immunize their children, significantly reducing preventable child deaths and improving health outcomes.

  • If all girls completed 12 years of education, child marriages would reduce by 64%, and economic losses in developing regions could be cut by billions.

  • Education provides pathways out of poverty – increase by 10% for each year of school completed.

The Urgent Need

Despite recent strides made in education equity around the world, girls in extreme poverty or living in remote areas continue to be left behind on the road to academic success.

The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs reports that it would take 54 years to achieve universal primary school completion for girls, even without the impact of the pandemic.

Additional factors such as race, ethnicity, religion, disabilities, and migratory status further hinder educational access for females across the globe, widening the gap even more.
