  • Scholarship: Educate a girl. Change the world.

Safar Global Foundation is committed to providing full tuition scholarships to help deserving girls around the world break the cycle of oppression through access to education. We partner with reputable and trusted organizations worldwide to identify schools and communities where our investment can lay a foundation toward lasting change.

Poverty is the greatest barrier to education equality. Impoverished families and communities favor boys when deciding how to allocate academic resources, as girls are often considered second-class citizens without prospects for upward mobility. In some areas, schools lack the funding to respond to the unique safety, hygiene, or sanitation needs of girls. By funding 100% of educational costs in our partner communities, we drive the pursuit of knowledge and learning that will lift up a generation and transform lives, one step at a time.

  • Mentorship: Embolden a girl. Change the world.

Many young girls cannot even imagine being asked what they want to be when they grow up, or the ability to consider what their own personal hopes and dreams may be.

Safar Global Foundation values a girl’s ability to explore her aspirations and envision a future for herself where she can learn, advocate, and lead. We provide one-on-one mentoring and coaching to help her build confidence, set personal goals, and develop self-worth. In addition, we offer a series of interactive, motivational workshops to spark her strategic thinking abilities, gain employable skills, build financial literacy, and create a roadmap for a successful and meaningful life.

The program expands in content from year to year, and cultivates the tools a young girl needs to live her dreams, foster her potential, and achieve her ambitions. When she begins to consider and plan for her own future, she inspires others around her to discover their own journeys and transform their own lives.

  • Vocational Training: Liberate a girl. Change the world.

Completing her academic journey may not always lead a girl to economic independence. To bridge this gap, SGF partners with Advanced E-Clinical to offer online job readiness and vocational training in various medical assistant courses. This initiative not only enables a girl to earn an accredited certification in an ever-growing and flourishing industry, but gives her the financial freedom to provide for herself and her family. Ultimately, she contributes to the greater economy and helps to grow and sustain her community.

The training she receives through Advanced E-Clinical equips her with specific, marketable skills that are necessary and translatable to any community. With her own income, she can then invest in her own children’s educations, in healthcare, and in other resources that provide a practical passageway out of poverty toward financial stability.

Furthermore, the success she achieves in completing her coursework and receiving her certification instills an entrepreneurial mindset and a spirit of leadership. She may be moved to mentor others, find ways to give back to her community, or advance progress by pushing back against societal perceptions of women’s roles in the workplace. She also gains a network of students, teachers, and industry professionals that serve as an ongoing resource to continue developing her skills.

Safar Global Foundation’s
programs guide girls facing economic and societal hardship
on the pathway to academic success and self-sufficiency.

When a girl learns,
she emerges as a leader and changemaker in her community.
Through scholarships, mentorship, and vocational training,
we provide the financial support and skills necessary
to launch her educational journey,
overcome obstacles in her way,
and thrive with every step she takes.

We believe the education of young women -
especially those who are systemically marginalized or excluded -
builds a gateway to global change,
leading to a brighter and more equitable future for all.

We are focusing our initial efforts
on Africa and the Middle East,
where girls must confront significant barriers to education
due to a number of cultural, economic, and political factors.

Societal norms and gender roles place more emphasis on domestic responsibility for girls,
which can mean early marriage and little to no formal schooling.
Lack of financial resources further impede educational access,
as families are forced to choose between the cost of education
and the cost of basic necessities such as food and shelter.

Religious conflict or political unrest may lead to safety concerns or forced displacement of girls.
Many girls in these areas must also travel very long distances to attend school,
placing them at risk of harassment or violence.

SGF seeks to address these challenges head on.

We provide scholarships and financial assistance,
fund school infrastructures, support emotional resiliency and professional growth,
and offer e-learning alternatives in areas where physical schools are inaccessible.

We strengthen the resources of our partners
in these communities to reform unjust policies against girls,
promote and advocate for their equitable access to education,
and ultimately increase their opportunity for economic and societal advancement.
